My Bio
I am a MUA based in the Swansea-Carmarthenshire area of Wales and have been working within the photographic community since September 2009. I have a BA Honours degree in Fine Art and an VTCT level 2 in cosmetic makeup.

I'd describe myself as creative, neat, professional, friendly, gentle, bubbly, a bit of a chatterbox, easy to work with, colourful and quirky.

I have a keen love of Art which led to the discovery of the wonderful Art of Makeup. I aspire to widen my skills and improve constantly on the work I produce as a MUA.

So I FINALLY got logged back into my account with zero help from the deviantart team but that doesn't matter I got it back and that is the main thing. So what's new/changed? Well retail Makeup work almost killed me. I gave them 5 years, they gave me nothing but eternal criticism about not selling more products (despite hitting way over targeted expectations). Eventually it broke me. I now cannot stand the thought of doing someone's makeup but I suppose 20 makeovers from highly ungrateful shoppers a day will do that to a creative soul like mine. I'm 32 so I won't be posing again any time soon but I do hope to re-upload all my previous art w

Okay, so here's the deal. I needed a more professional looking website. So I saved a duplicate of my old wix website which is hidden and put a link to my current "in progress" website. I'm working on the new website but I am REALLY poo at these things. Any helpful tips or constructive criticism of the website would be helpful. I also am seriously struggling with how to compose my information sections... hmmm. Should I add a testimonials page and have a few references? and wtf do u write when u have to compose your own "biography" LOL! so, here's the link... http://josephinejonesmua.4ormat.com/ I am still working on it right now but may t

Hi ~JosephineJonesMUA.   Do you use internet resources as inspiration for you work? Please send us a list of your favorite "go-to" websites or artists for your theatre work. If they are on DA, we'll consider featuring them! If they are out there in the rest of the web we'll mention them. Be sure to tell us why you think their site is inspirational to you! Have you done any theatre work lately? Please submit your work to our group! :icontheatreartists:
I work full time with Benefit cosmetics now so I rarely have time for freelance work. I mostly used DA and general search engines when looking for inspirations and I used a lot of actual artworks as inspiration but generally I'd just take a bag of random items and just go to the shoot and come up with whatever I felt would work! I'm a bit strange. I did begin to plan out my makeup before a shoot in the last 2 years that I was working as a freelance mua but usually I'd take what the photographer wanted to do with his concept and just plan out looks in a little sketch book! x
Great! Thanks for the input - I was told about two great paper model sources for vintage paper things which I reported in the #TheatreArtists journal... I'm glad someone out there uses actual art!
